Carla and Armando | Sueño del Mar Elopement | Costa Rica Wedding

It was another perfect day in paradise for Carla and Armando’s Sueño Del Mar elopement. As Costa Rica Wedding Photographers we haven’t encountered a not perfect day which is absolutely fantastic for all of our couples choosing to get married there! Having been a former movie store employee, I have a soft spot for how Carla and Armando met and got engaged. They met while working at a Blockbuster in their town – remember those? It is also coincidentally where Armando chose to propose, which is pretty awesome! It’s only natural after being surrounded by romance movies that Carla and Armando chose to have a fairytale worthy elopement at Sueño del Mar.

Howler monkeys swinging from palm tree to palm tree, tropical birds chirping overhead, the crash of the Pacific Ocean in the distance! Their wedding day started out relaxed, as it should! With Carla and Armando enjoying the morning together on the serene property of Sueño Del Mar in Tamarindo. It’s one of those places when you arrive you instantly feel the need to whisper because it’s so calming!

Carla and Armando chose to get ready together, all except Carla slipping into her dress. She really wanted surprise him as he walked down the aisle! And did she ever! We loved seeing the look on Armando’s face as his bride walked towards him and onto the sands. As they stood under the shade of a palm tree and exchanged their vows the sun sparkled off the ocean and was a perfect backdrop for their day!
