“We interviewed several photographers for our August 2023 wedding, and we are SO happy that we chose Two Adventurous Souls! Brittany and Dean are an amazing wife and husband duo, and they are the nicest and sweetest people. They are also upfront about being LGBTQ+ friendly and even had examples of gay weddings they had photographed (which was honestly hard to find across other vendors we spoke with). This was very important to us as a gay couple, because it can be difficult to fully let your guard down and be intimate in front of a photographer when you don’t know if they fully embrace who you are.
The package we chose included an engagement session along with wedding day photography. My husband and I do not typically love to have photos taken of us, and we had never done a professional photo shoot. Therefore, we were a bit nervous going into the engagement session. Right away, Brittany made us feel so relaxed and gave us just the right amount of direction while also making sure the photos didn’t look too posed.
The results were phenomenal, because she made us feel so comfortable and at-ease throughout the whole process. Leading up to the wedding day, we collaborated with Brittany to figure out the day-of photo timeline and family/wedding party shot list. She was constantly offering her help during the planning process and shared many useful items like a planning checklist, timeline ideas, and vendor recommendations. She is also super responsive to emails/calls which is sooo appreciated!
On the day of the wedding, Brittany and Dean helped the day run incredibly smoothly. They made sure we stayed on our timeline and worked with us to shift some photo timing when we started running a bit late. Throughout the day, they captured so many great details and moments. They also blended in so seamlessly that I didn’t even notice them taking photos most of the night. At sunset, we wanted to take some photos but didn’t want to be away from the reception for too long. Brittany and Dean were very understanding and pulled us away for just the right amount of time to get some fabulous photos! Oh my gosh where do I begin?? Even just first meeting them I knew they were going to be amazing. We clicked (pun intended) right away and they even seemed excited about our subtle Star Wars theme. Brittany and Dean were so fun and funny and made us all feel so relaxed. I can’t stop looking at our photos and even got four books made for Christmas presents! (But I get to enjoy them in the meantime – I obviously made one just for us too!)
The photos seemed to come so quickly in the most amazing box with the cutest personalized flash drive, some special photos, and lobster candies! I can’t say enough about them. Totally worth every penny!! Thank you both so so much!! Best day every was captured with the BEST photos ever!!! 🙂

“To say we loved working with Brittany and Two Adventurous Souls would be an understatement. Every part of our experience, from the first phone call, check-in emails, to our wedding day was an absolute delight! Brittany was kind and supportive and used her expert knowledge of Acadia to help us find the perfect spot for our ceremony (and our dream shots on a frozen lake at sunset after the ceremony). She was also really fun to be around!
In addition to all her help planning and checking in with us about weather, ceremony sites, her pictures are fantastic. She helped form our vision for the day and really captured the feelings and moments we wanted. We are so happy we hired Brittany, our wedding was better planned because of it, and we have amazing photos to remember the day. Every person that we’ve shared our pictures have gone “Whoa, who took those? They’re amazing!”

We were incredibly fortunate to have Brittany and Dean capture our wedding day in Maine. Fast forward nearly six years and two kids later, we wanted to surprise my mom, dad, and brother's family with extended family photos during our annual Maine vacation. Brittany was the first person who came to mind, and she did not disappoint. She went above and beyond, pretending to eat seaweed to get four kids under six to smile, and running a tight yet relaxed schedule to perfectly optimize the lighting from the setting sun. Brittany made everything seem effortless. We just received the photos, and they are absolutely stunning. The whole family was blown away by the moments she captured. I cannot recommend Two Adventurous Souls more highly, whether for engagements, weddings, or family portraits.
Brit and Dean photographed our wedding. They went above and beyond (including hiking 9 miles to get to the spot!) to get beautiful pictures. They are amazing to work with. We also did a family photo session with them years after and look forward to working with them again in the future!
When planning our July 2023 wedding, photography and videography were my number one must-have vendor. Brittany and Dean put me at ease immediately! My daughter got engaged in Acadia National Park. Not only was Brittany extremely helpful with setting it up, discreet with the details so it remained a surprise, we got the most beautiful photographs! She was wonderful to work with, patient for the perfect picture, fun with laughs creating smiles that were easy to give the camera.

Brittany and Dean have come through for us on numerous contracts, creating GORGEOUS photos that have captured our growing family in many different stages. They work great with kids, adapt very well to outdoor work in many different environments, and are absolutely reliable.

Brittany and Dean are incredibly talented, personable and a joy to work with. After admiring their wedding and nature photography for some time, we finally had the opportunity to do family portraits with them. The photographs were incredible! Brittany kept us laughing the entire time, despite an outdoor shoot in bitter winds and snow. She had such vision- seeing opportunities to capture our kids personalities, hyping them up and showing them back-of-camera images to keep them engaged. The photos were edited and provided to us in incredible turn around time. We were absolutely thrilled with the entire process. I’ve had countless friends across many photographic categories (wedding, family portraits, maternity) also love their experience and adore their photos from Two Adventurous Souls- understandably, they stay very booked, so if they’re available on the date your looking for do yourself a favor and just book them!!!!!!! The photos AND the memories will be priceless!
Look no further!!! You will LOVE these photographers. My daughter hired Two Adventurous Souls for her wedding last summer. Best wedding decision! Dean and Brittany were fantastic to work with, responded quickly to all our questions before the wedding, and were calm attentive at the wedding, and were everywhere! Their work was impressive. They captured EVERYTHING and were creative, traditional, fun, and truly a bit adventurous! We could NOT be happier.

We have worked with Brittany on many occasions for family photos (birthdays, holiday cards, the works). She is AWESOME! The pictures are great, she's totally approachable and works with you on the best shots, and she has always been great keeping our kids (first one, now two) engaged in the shoot. We call her every year for family photos and intend to keep doing so, and would have no hesitation recommending her for any event. 5 stars aren't enough!
We really loved & appreciated the in-home newborn shoot. It allowed us and our baby to stay relaxed in our own environment and capture the natural energy of our family.
