What a party! The day started off with a few “ice-ings” with the guys and ended with the bride dipping her toes in the lake to cool off.
Taylor and Chet were so excited to come to Maine and be on Rangeley Lake for their wedding. I even saw Taylor’s IG stories earlier in the week of them getting their boat ready to travel and head up the week before their wedding. Talk about making the most of your time celebrating with everyone! They mentioned to me that they really wanted to remember every little bit of their day, especially sharing such a special place with their family and friends.
We started our day up at the groom’s cabin above the lodge while they all hung out and had a few beers and joked around. The guys may have “iced” Chet a few times throughout the morning as well, once by hiding the drink in the pocket of his coat while it was hanging up waiting for him to get dressed. Before long it was time for the guys to get dressed and head down to the dock for a boat ride together before arriving back just in time for the ceremony.
While the guys were off playing on the water, Taylor and her girls were inside the lodge getting their final touches in hair and make up, including the lovely flower girls getting some lip gloss for their big moment too! Once Taylor slipped into her dress it was on to the ceremony with everyone!
It really couldn’t have been a more perfect day (although a wee bit hot! Even one of our video cameras shut down due to heat warnings – but that’s ok, that’s why we carry so many backups!) The Loon Lodge had pitchers of cucumber and lemon water waiting at the back of the aisle. Taylor and Chet also thought of everything! They had prepped fans and sunglasses on the table with the drinks as well so guests had some cool breezes and shade.
During the ceremony a few boats went by and shouted their well wishes and their officiant gave Chet permission to check out the boats – apparently he did a lot of scoping out the boats that went by the night before during the rehearsal. He works at a marina so everyone could totally understand!
Once the “I do’s” were said it was time to party and did they ever! Taylor danced the night away on the floor with her family and friends while Chet entertained some of his friends down by the cigar bar, and before re-joining Taylor on the dance floor, even got a few guys to help out with a pretty kick-ass groom portrait with him, his Pit Viper sunglasses, and a few cigars.
Check back later for their wedding video!
