North 43 Bistro wedding in South Portland | Kayla and Brendon

They say rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck, and for Kayla and Brendon, it became a memorable part of their love story. Despite the rainstorm that threatened their day, they created an enchanting wedding day to remember. From their personalized gifts to the heartfelt moments shared during the preparations, Kayla and Brendon’s wedding ceremony at the Southern Maine Community College Campus followed by their wedding reception at North 43 Bistro became a celebration of love, friendship, and embracing life’s unexpected blessings.

Mother Nature had a different plan in mind for Kayla and Brendon on their wedding day: an afternoon filled with a downpour. However, the couple did not let this dampen their spirits. Instead, they quickly formulated a rain plan to ensure their guests’ comfort and a seamless transition.

Kayla and Brendon chose to get ready at the McKernan Center on the SMCC campus, setting the stage for a day full of anticipation and joy. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple experienced a mix of excitement and nerves as they prepared to exchange their vows.

Brendon presented his groomsmen with thoughtful and personalized gifts. Recognizing the importance of each person in his life. He carefully selected presents that reflected the unique interests and personalities of his friends. Meanwhile, as Kayla and her bridesmaids prepared, the bridal suite overlooking the breathtaking Casco Bay was filled with laughter, joy, and reminiscing.

Before the rain came, Kayla and Brendon managed to steal a few moments for themselves. During their first look, tears of joy and anticipation flowed freely as they set eyes on each other in their wedding attire for the first time. It was a truly special moment as they exchanged heartfelt vows and heartfelt gifts, solidifying their commitment to one another in an intimate setting. These private moments allowed them to connect deeply before sharing their love with their loved ones.

As the rain started outside, the couple moved their ceremony indoors to a hall overlooking the ocean.

Following the heartfelt ceremony, Kayla and Brendon chose a reception venue that held a special place in their hearts—North 43, a charming restaurant that had played a significant role in their relationship. The choice of this venue added an extra layer of sentimentality to the celebration, making it even more meaningful for the couple and their guests. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, North 43 provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable reception.

As the evening unfolded, the reception at North 43 became a celebration filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments. The dance floor was alive with guests showcasing their best moves, while heartfelt toasts and speeches added an extra layer of warmth to the festivities. Kayla and Brendon’s carefully selected décor and personal touches added a unique charm to the venue, reflecting their personalities and love story. With a combination of great music, delectable cuisine, and the company of cherished friends and family, the reception became a night to remember.
