The secret to love is booking a flight! Seriously. I’ve had so many couples meet each other on flights. I only get sat next to loud chewers or chatty Cathy’s (and those are just my kids!)
Alex and Nicole first met on their flight to Australia – they were headed to study abroad at the same program and Alex was sitting in Nicole’s seat when she boarded. I’ve never been, but I know Australia is a LONG flight so I’m pretty sure they could have had their 1st and 2nd date on that flight if only Alex hadn’t fallen asleep for the majority of the flight! Since they were both headed to the same program, they were a familiar face to each other and connected again quickly after landing.
What a day! When you’re a kid, there’s nothing better than going to summer camp. When you’re adult I think we all want to go back to that feeling – enter a Summer Camp wedding!
There’s something to be said for full-weekend weddings. A Camp Mataponi wedding is perfect for that. Nicole and Alex welcomed everyone with gift bags and cabins for the weekend where everyone got to enjoy kayaking and swimming in the lake and classic summer camp games.
With the perfect day planned out for their guests, Nicole and Alex got ready in different spots on the camp with their friends enjoying the morning. Once they were both ready they shared a moment for their first look along with reading private vows they wrote for each other before fun portraits along the beach and then regrouping to walk down the aisle – but not before Nicole sunk a bean bag in their custom cornhole boards!
