This event has taken me so long to post and I’m so mad at myself for not sharing them sooner! They’ve been all over Instagram, but not big photos like here!
Part of being creative is getting to do shoots just for the fun of it. This was one of those shoots! I’ve know Jenny at Jenny Murray Designs for a while so when she’s planning an editorial shoot, I’m all over it! We’ve been lucky enough to work in Newport Rhode Island a few times now but not enough to boost our SEO to get jobs down that way more regularly. That’s where these types of shoots come in. I get to spend the day hanging out with some creatives at the one of the stunning Newport Mansions, trying out new concepts and ideas that we never want to “test run” on our wedding couples! Because your wedding day isn’t time for me to experiment! (unless we’ve got a lot of extra time built into your day and that rarely happens).
To get to this shoot, you may have seen our instagram posts about it, I drove through a crazy downpour with roads closed all over the place from flooding AND a few tornado warnings. No joke. Siri broke through my radio at one point to tell me to seek shelter. That’s never happened in New England before! Me being a “what are the chances” person, pushed on. It was so worth it! Coming over the bridge into Newport Rhode Island was stunning! Dramatic clouds off to one side and then nothing but sunshine once I arrived at the mansions.
When you’ve got a venue this stunning, you pack in as much as you can into one day. We had two couples and one ballerina for this stunning editorial shoot. Just look at all these stunning florals, big huge bright rooms, that checked floor! I’m in love with everything about the Bois Doré Newport Mansion wedding.
