You ever get the feeling when you walk into somewhere you’ve never been but instantly feel like you’ve been there before? That’s the feeling I got when walking into Christina and Patrick’s Chebeague Island Inn wedding. I can best describe the inn as a cross between somewhere the Kennedy’s would be seen strolling through, sipping beverages on the porch and the resort from Dirty Dancing.
What really surprised me about the venue – beyond the beautiful views from the porch – were the rooms. With the lobby, restaurant, and lounge areas all with exposed beams and wood walls, you’d expect the rooms to be the same but they weren’t! When I met up with Christina as she was getting ready in her room, I was floored to see the rooms were all bright and light with just the right amount of vintage furniture. I half expected to open a door and find Van Gogh’s Sunflowers hanging in one of the rooms.
Back to more details about Christina and Patrick’s Chebeague Island Inn wedding! It was a fun and intimate day with about 20 family members. They mostly came up from Texas and you can tell they were totally enjoying the cool ocean breeze and getting to enjoy their time outside when normally, in Texas, they’d be inside with the AC blasting.
Our cool breeze was perfect for Patrick as he donned an amazing jacquard suit created by “The Clothier to the King” and had vintage Elvis photos printed on the liner of the jacket. Between Patrick’s suit, Christina’s beautiful lace gown, and the fact that she did her own hair and make up for the day – really personalized the day even further for them. It truly was a day that was perfectly tailored to the two of them.
