What do you do when there’s a Tropical Storm headed for your venue on the day of your wedding? Party your ass off! That’s exactly what Kelly and Ari did for their Josias River Farm Wedding. Not only because the storm managed to pass us by, but because they were celebrating with all their closest friends and family. I get the feeling even if the storm had hit us, they day would have been just as amazing!
Kelly and Ari chose to start their day by getting ready at Kelly’s family home on Moody Beach in Wells. With views of the Atlantic Ocean out the windows, who can blame them! The guys gathered in the cottage across the street while the girls prepped in the main house with waves crashing just out the windows.
After a quick trip for some photos on the rocks at Marginal Way we headed to Josias River Farm where the sky cleared just in time for the ceremony officiated by Ari’s sister, Shana. She did such an amazing job making sure the ceremony was filled with fun moments, like assuring everyone the children in the ceremony don’t bite, and bringing in heartfelt stories of how the couple met. Ari and Kelly even chose to bring in a personal touch with sand from Moody Beach and soil from Ari’s family farm house mixing together their past.
These two have such an adventurous past, highlighted in the speeches from Kelly’s dad, the maid of honor, and the best man. Recalling counts of random injuries on adventures and everyone mentioning the couple’s time living in a van with their dog Winnie and traveling the US.
I can’t wait to see what adventures Kelly and Ari embark on in the future!
