Everyone says your wedding day is going to fly by but Courtney and Cody’s day felt like it went straight from getting ready with friends to the packed dance floor in mere seconds!
For their Dunegrass Wedding the couple chose to get ready in two rental properties next to each other but also right across from the venue so everything was so easy! It also happened to be a 2 mile commute for us, which is pretty awesome. We are so used to “destination” weddings so it’s fun to connect with a local couple – especially ones so fun as Courtney and Cody!
Courtney is a very talented country singer and it’s because of that she met Cody! It was definitely fate that day at the Red Claws game in Portland. Courtney was there to sing the national anthem – along with the Candian anthem as well – A first for her! Cody was there working as well, he was working overtime and if he hadn’t opted to take that shift, they never would have met!
Courtney was warming up and preparing to sing when she saw him, and both are very shy, but she got the overwhelming feeling that she just had to go talk to him. They struck up a conversation and after Courtney was done singing, exchanged contact info, and the rest they say is history.
Flash forward and these two enjoyed their Dunegrass Wedding with a “first touch” where they chose not to see each other but hold hands and exchange personal vows followed by their ceremony on site overlooking the beautiful woods behind the clubhouse. Friends and family gathered for portraits (they both have big families!) before dancing the night away!
