This past summer was so great for meeting amazing families! I loved working with the T extended family for their Bailey Island family portraits.
After going over a few options on island for beach photos, we ended up sticking with the rental house property because there were so many people. Sometimes getting everyone in the car to a different location and finding parking in the summer can be a bit of a challenge so if all possible having me come to you and use the space you have at your vacation home/hotel is best.
For the T family we had a stretch of grass right on the bay that worked perfectly! It was just a 15ft strip alongside the driveway if you can believe it! And the entry to the driveway overlooked the famous curbstone bridge so I knew we had to get that icon in the background for a few photos. Conveniently enough there were also some big rocks that lined that section so it made for a perfect place for the kids to stand up on. What kid doesn’t like climbing up on some rocks!
With all of our portrait sessions we ended with some snuggles! For both the parents with their kiddos but also for the parents just for themselves. We may not have gotten the stellar sunsets we’ve become known for, but the hazy, pastel sunset worked perfectly for some soft, lovey portraits!
