I love a good Old Orchard Beach Family Portrait session! There’s surprisingly a lot of variety in the area for a strictly sandy beach. This particular spot that we did the Clark Family’s portraits has some paths through the seagrass and some pretty wood fencing that make it appear as if they’re in the grass but really aren’t. (We are big on conservation and would NEVER put clients in the grass – it’s home to nesting piping plovers!)
This particular day there were so many boats out it made for a really fun backdrop and the kiddos were particularly excited about sitting for their own portraits. So we had a lot of fun running around up and down the beach and playing in the waves a bit.
My goal for each session is to not only capture a big variety of portraits but hopefully make the kids tired enough to go right to sleep!
