As a Boothbay Harbor Family Photographer, I get to experience some of the most beautiful corners of Maine and this private property session in East Boothbay was one of those truly special places. Perched right on the coast, the home offered panoramic ocean views that invited you to linger. It was the kind of spot where you could sip coffee on the deck in the morning while watching the waves, and later unwind with an evening drink as the sun dipped below the horizon.

One of the most unique features of this home was the osprey nest perched just above it. During our session, you could see them peeking over the edge. A quintessential Maine touch that made the evening feel even more magical.

The session brought together a multigenerational family, including two adorable young grandbabies. There were sweet snuggles, playful moments, and lots of laughter as we captured the joy of having multiple generations in one place. While not everyone was able to attend, one daughter-in-law had just begun her residency and one grandchild was starting their internship, it was still a treasured opportunity for the rest of the family to be together in such a peaceful setting.

East Boothbay provided the perfect backdrop for these memories: rocky shorelines, endless ocean, and that quiet charm that makes the Maine coast so special. This was more than just a photo session. It was a way to capture a family’s legacy in a place they’ll always hold dear.
