Whoa. We had a LOT of rain this past year. In fact, I think in July alone we had 25 days of rain. That meant a lot of rescheduling family sessions and moving everyone to the few and far between sunny days we had. I’m always up for a rainy day portrait session but most of the time our families want those sunny days. The M family was one of the adventurous families we get that just throw caution to the wind and head out in the rain for a good time!
It wasn’t so much of a rain but a ridiculously dense fog that came out of nowhere. When I talked to Lisa about her family portraits she said everyone is already to go so let’s do it! And we had so. much. fun!
I made sure to get the group photos done first and then they popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate mom and dad’s 35th anniversary. After the champagne was popped everyone took to the ocean for splashing. When you’re already soaked from the fog, why not!
