Blair and Jon have been together for years so sometimes Jon would forget that they weren’t already married. I love that! It’s a sign of a great relationship – and these two certainly have that!
When planning their wedding it came down to two words: Celebration and Family (meaning both family by relation and chosen family). They nailed it! Everything from getting ready all the way to the party was filled with moments that were meaningful to the couple and included their family and friends. Even their wedding party was a mix of siblings, friends, and Jon’s grandfather was his best man! Let me tell you that Papa Carl is a little firecracker! I loved getting to chat with him in the rare quiet moments we had throughout the day.
Even though it was a busy day with a lot of activities going on – including SEVEN flower fellas who made an amazing entrance at the ceremony – Blair and Jon snuck in so many romantic moments between the two of them. I don’t even think they realized they were doing it, which made it all the best. Jon would have his arm around Blair and she’d lean in with her forehead against his cheek. Those are the candid moments I live for!
Jon and Blair and have lived in so many different places that it was a big feat to get everyone in one room at one time but they did it. With guests joining for their ceremony at the historic Hamilton Hall in Salem to everyone hopping on charter buses to then party the night away at the beautiful Danversport. It was such a great day for their guests, many of which have known them throughout their 16 year relationship and beyond, to get to see the beginning of this next chapter in their lives (their marriage but also the fact that they’re picking up this week and moving several states away for Blair’s job)
I’m personally excited to have them in New England now! While we loved traveling to NYC for their engagement session, we can’t wait to catch up with them once they’re settled back in Massachusetts.
