As a Boothbay Wedding Photographer, I’m lucky to witness so many beautiful celebrations but Sarah and Corey’s Friday afternoon wedding at Wilson Memorial Chapel in East Boothbay was something truly special.
The chapel, a charming landmark in Ocean Point, holds deep meaning for the couple, making it the perfect place to exchange vows. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the ceremony felt intimate, heartfelt, and full of personal touches.
In a moment that perfectly captured the warmth of this small coastal community, many Ocean Point residents came to the chapel steps after the ceremony to congratulate Sarah and Corey. Some even brought fresh flowers for Sarah to tuck into her bouquet, an impromptu gesture that made her arrangement even more beautiful and meaningful.
The ceremony itself was a true family affair. Sarah’s daughter and Corey’s son each read heartfelt passages, adding a personal touch that had guests smiling and tearing up in equal measure. Corey’s other son proudly held onto the wedding rings until the moment they were exchanged.
After the ceremony, Sarah and Corey took the time to personally greet and connect with every single one of their guests a thoughtful gesture that made everyone feel included in their special day. Then, with warm goodbyes and lots of laughter, they hopped on a boat over to Linekin Bay Resort, where they celebrated the rest of the evening with a delicious dinner and more time surrounded by their loved ones.
It was the kind of wedding day that didn’t need grand gestures or elaborate plans just love, community, and the blending of two families into one. And that’s exactly what made it so unforgettable.
