A Coastal Tradition | Ogunquit Family Photographer
As an Ogunquit Family Photographer, I love when families return year after year to the Maine coast. It’s always a joy to see vacation traditions deepen and grow. This family has been coming to Ogunquit for years, but this visit was extra special: they decided it was time for their first family portrait session in many, many years.
We met along the iconic Marginal Way, one of my favorite spots for portraits in Ogunquit. With the tide low, we had access to the rocky beaches and little tidepools perfect for exploring, playing, and capturing some truly joyful moments. Their teens brought great energy to the session, goofing around on the rocks and just being themselves.
There’s something really beautiful about photographing older kids and teens, there’s this mix of fun, connection, and personality that shines through in every frame. You can tell this family shares a lot of laughter and love, and it was an honor to preserve that on camera.
The coastal light, the crashing waves, and those classic Maine rock formations gave us a stunning natural backdrop, but the best part was the connection between this crew. Whether they were walking hand in hand, sharing a quiet moment, or erupting into laughter, every image told the story of a family that truly loves spending time together.
