One of the greatest joys of being a family photographer is watching families grow and change over the years—and this one holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this incredible family through so many of life’s milestones: senior portraits, weddings, family sessions, and now extended family portraits as their circle continues to grow. It’s a beautiful thing to witness, and even more meaningful to document.
This most recent session took place in the fall on the sandy shores of Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine. The crisp air, soft golden light, and quiet waves made the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and joyful evening together. As a Goose Rocks Beach Family Photographer, I couldn’t ask for a better setting—it’s peaceful, picturesque, and just the right amount of playful, especially when little ones are involved.
The beach was filled with laughter, parents and grandparents shared hugs, and we captured those genuine in-between moments that mean the most. There’s something timeless about photographing a family where love runs deep and traditions are cherished, like walking the shoreline at sunset or making a game of who can find the smoothest stone.
