Coastal Joy at the beach – A Boothbay Harbor Family Session
Tucked away, just a short drive from the heart of Boothbay Harbor, this beach is a gem of a location for family portraits, with its tide-worn rocks, sweeping views, and sand perfect for barefoot play. It’s no wonder Sunday chose this beautiful spot for her extended family session.
Sunday hired me to capture her and her husband surrounded by the people who matter most — their kids and grandkids, all gathered together in one place. As a Boothbay Harbor Family Photographer, it’s always a joy to photograph families in settings that hold real meaning, and this beach delivered everything we could’ve asked for: salty breeze, golden light, and room for everyone to spread out and be themselves.
We spent the session hopping from the sand to the rocks and back again. The kids were quick to kick off their shoes and splash in the waves, while the adults shared laughs, helped wrangle little ones, and made time for snuggly groupings and candid moments. The energy was fun and relaxed, the kind of afternoon that reminds you just how good it is to slow down, look around, and soak up the joy of being together.
From generational portraits to playful candids, we captured a little bit of everything, the legacy Sunday and her husband have built, the love between siblings and cousins, and those tiny, perfect details that pass too quickly: sandy toes, salty hugs, and wind-tousled hair.
