Natasha has been coming to Bar Harbor and Acadia every year since before she could remember! She was a wee 6 months old when she made her first trip here so it’s only natural that everything important in her life so far has been tied to the island. Including Andrew! She introduced him to their family trips early on in their relationship and as their love grew, so did Andrew’s love for Acadia. A wedding at the Bar Harbor Regency was in order, especially to share this special place with all of their friends and family from all over the world!
Andrew was planning on proposing to Natasha at sunset in Seawall picnic area. She had a little too much blueberry wine at dinner after they got back from a day of hiking with her family in Acadia so Natasha was so tired and just wanted to be left alone. Everyone, including Natasha’s sister, was running around trying to keep her awake and brighten her tired mood. They went for an ice cream run but Natasha’s favorite shop was closed and the other place didn’t carry her favorite flavor, peppermint. That’s enough to just ruin a whole day right there!! So as soon as they returned to their campsite, Natasha headed off to bed. Little did she know everyone was bummed because Andrew had planned on proposing!!
The next morning, Andrew decided that today was gonna be the day. Natasha noticed that everyone was acting weird the entire morning but she started packing to go on one of their favorite hikes, Sauveur Mountain. She had overheard her mom and sister whispering about ‘the champagne’, and opened Andrew’s backpack to get something out for their dog, and found a bottle of champagne in there. Thankfully she didn’t find the ring!! Andrew ended up proposing on the top of the mountain, and they had the whole place to ourselves. “It was perfect!” as Natasha describes!
On top of a perfect proposal, Andrew and Natasha had the most perfect day for their Bar Harbor Regency wedding surrounded by family and friends. These two danced the night away and are still enjoying the amazing scenery in Acadia with everyone for the next week! A full week of celebrations – that’s the way to have a wedding!!
