Every love story is unique, and Marissa and Brandon’s elopement in Southern Maine was no exception. Instead of opting for the traditional beach setting, they had a distinct vision for their special day—an enchanted forest. I immediately knew the perfect spot, a forest where I photographed my kids when they were younger with a unicorn.
Nestled in Southern Maine, tall pine trees reached toward the sky, creating a natural canopy that filtered the sunlight, casting ethereal beams of light onto the forest floor. The air was filled with the soothing scent of moss and fresh earth, adding to the enchanting ambiance.
As Brandon mentioned a few times, Marissa looked like a woodland fairy as she stepped into the forest, wearing a flowing gown and cape adorned with lace. Her hair was styled in loose, romantic curls with beautiful sparkling hair piece. Brandon wore a dark green suit that harmonized with the natural hues of their surroundings. Together, they made a picture-perfect couple, embodying the spirit of their enchanted forest elopement.
As Marissa and Brandon exchanged their vows and sealed them with a pinky promise a soft breeze blew through the trees and birds chirping as their soundtrack. The magical atmosphere heightened the emotions and deepened the connection between the couple and their surroundings.
Following the ceremony, Marissa and Brandon unfolded a picnic blanket on the forest floor and they indulged in a delectable floral-inspired cake titled “A Taste of Maine.” The cake featured layer filled with blueberry puree. Topped with a tangy lemon cream cheese frosting, it was the perfect cake for their day!
After the cake picnic, the couple hopped in a classic car and took a journey up the coast. Their destination was the iconic Lobster Shack at Two Lights, where they would enjoy a celebratory dinner of lobster rolls. The restaurant’s rustic charm and breathtaking ocean views provided the perfect backdrop for their evening.
