The theme for this year is “beat the rain”. For Jackie and Alex’s session we did just that and ended a mere second before the rain started!
Depending on the night, strolling around the Old Port for engagement photos can be a challenge but picking a non-weekend night is definitely the trick to getting down here. There was one point in the Old Port where I did want a bunch of people to walk by and that just happened to be the same time there wasn’t a single person walking on the street! So I just had fun and made Jackie and Alex hold their kiss realllll long as we waited for a group to make their way by for a long exposure pedestrian blur.
Jackie and Alex were so much fun to hang out with as we walked around Wharf St before heading over to the waterfront to take advantage of some of the lobster traps and buoys on the docks. But that’s where I learned Jackie is NOT a fan of birds. Thankfully the seagulls kept their distance and distracted eating lobster parts discarded from one of the restaurants!
So no, there will be no dove release at their wedding in 2024!
