Emily was a little suspicious that Brendan was going to propose so he threw her off by changing into a wrinkly t-shirt for dinner on a vacation. Surely there is no way he would propose in that!
Dinner was running a bit behind on their proposal, about 2 hours behind. That gave Brendan time to quickly change his shirt and take some sunset photos which is where he popped the question!
Kennebunkport, Maine, has always held a special place for Emily and Brendan, so when it came time to say “I do,” they knew exactly where their celebration would take place. Their Colony Hotel Wedding planning began! Known for its breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and classic New England charm, it was the perfect setting for a day that was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
The ceremony itself was one of the highlights of the day, not only because of the stunning ocean view but because of the personal touch brought by the groom’s sister, who officiated the wedding. Her role added a layer of warmth with plenty of lighthearted moments and shared laughter.
The couple first exchanged vows during their first look before saying “I Do” in front of their families and friends.
The Colony Hotel’s elegant reception space was filled with beautiful florals and lighting as guests enjoyed heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and a relaxed, joyful atmosphere. But the real highlight of the evening was the dance floor.
From the very first song, the dance floor was packed, and it stayed that way all night long. The laughter that began during the ceremony carried through the evening, with friends and family letting loose and enjoying every minute of Emily and Brendan’s Colony Hotel Wedding.
