This is a story about what happens when a true life Disney Princess finds her Prince Charming. And what better way to celebrate than with a Castle Hill in Wedding in Newport, RI. The day was picture perfect! The ceremony took place under a grand arch of flowers with a backdrop of sailboats with blue skies and so many smiling faces in attendance. And, of course, it was topped off with True Love’s Kiss!
While Paige and her girls were getting ready in the bridal suite, Stephen and his guys were hanging out in the classic pub inside the main Inn. With Stephen beyond excited to see his bride it was adorable. His joy for this day radiated in everything he did!
In a gown fit for a princess, Paige was helped into her dress by her mom and sister. Happy tears flowed throughout the getting ready process so it was great her hair and makeup team stayed on hand for touchups before we snuck out for the first look. With Paige’s 11 closest friends on hand to help her throughout the day, Paige felt surrounded by love the whole morning! She made a toast before heading out for the first look that celebrated all her friends that were there to stand by her side.
During the speeches the brides sister, who is hilarious by the way, mentioned that when she was planning her speech she really wanted to tell and embarrassing story about her sister, but the only thing she could recall was a story from when Paige was two. And we believe it.
As the guests danced the night away Paige and Stephen had one last surprise for their guests. In true Disney fashion they broke out into song in the middle of the dance floor! Surrounded by family and friends. They chose a song that, having two Disney Princesses of our own at home, gets stuck in our head often – “Love is an Open Door” from Frozen. This solidified it for us – we are kindred spirits we these two – as we are often caught signing that song, especially after yelling “jinx!”.
Paige’s parents mentioned during their toast that they can’t wait for the big family Disney vacation coming up! We wish Paige and Stephen all the happily ever afters and a lifetime of “finishing each other’s sandwiches”.
**This wedding is like a Disney movie in that you have to find all the “Easter eggs” – how many Mickey references can you find?
