Behind the Scenes with Maine Wedding Photographers
It’s that time of year when I go through all of our images and along with pulling our faves from the entire year, I also find those gems from behind the scenes. I always like sharing these as they give us a good giggle as we are looking back on the year.
This year took us a lot of different places, from the top of one of the Northeast’s 4,000 footers, to the gorge alongside a river in the White Mountains. I had Dean kick up some dust at the Samoset Resort to give us some amazing dusty sunset light even though it wasn’t quite yet that sunset light we love. He may have trashed his shoes after that wedding. Oops!
Later in the season we headed up to beautiful Bar Harbor for a Bar Harbor Club wedding where, at one of the most beautiful properties on the island, I find Dean hiding in the bushes for an alternate angle to my couples portraits along the tennis courts.
To start the season off though was one of my favorite Wedding Editorial shoots aboard the Nicte Ha in Casco Bay. I think we all about died while we were rowing out with the ships captain to get images of the back of the boat decorated for the wedding. If you’ve ever worked with Dean and I you know we have a mix of dry but yet childish humor. The dinghy jokes came with ease, probably too much ease!
It was a really amazing year with lots of fun trips and adventures to capture our couples big days! We can’t wait to do it all over again next year and see where weddings take us!
