Sarah and Jeff's Wedding at the Samoset Resort in Maine

What do you get when a girl who loathes ketchup, marries a man who’s nickname was “Sketch”? A pretty amazing night! We learned so much about Sarah and Jeff during their Samoset Resort wedding yesterday! For starters, Sarah hates ketchup so much that one of her friends licked ketchup off her fingers in an emergency when there wasn’t any napkins in sight. As Maine wedding photographers we love the bridesmaids and groomsmen speeches. It gives us such insight into our couples and also provides us with some great photographic material! This couple loves laughing at themselves and it showed! There's so many photos of Sarah and Jeff sharing laughs with their family and friends, going through the sneak peeks made us giggle all over again!

I can't even begin to describe all of the sweet moments during the day. Sarah's mom helping her into her dress and then the big reveal for all of her bridesmaids was a special part early on in the day. And the ladies sharing a champagne toast out on the patio as well. All smiles and such excitement!

Another great moment was during the reception, the couples first dance and then it was time for the parent dances! These are one of our favorite moments throughout the day and it didn't disappoint! Sarah and Jeff had a perfectly choreographed first dance ending with a spin and dip. During the parent dances Jeff was all smiles along with mom, Candy as they danced to "My Wish". While Sarah and her dad chose to dance to a favorite of ours, Tom Petty's Freefallin. While photographing the dance I could hear family and friends talking about how that was their favorite song when Sarah was little and often dad would pick her up and dance around the house to it. It reminded me so much of Dean and our girls, as that song is a favorite of our oldest. There may have been some dust in the air during their dance. :)

How did Jeff propose?

Sarah was pushing Jeff to take a Thanksgiving picture on his parents beach in the fall of 2016, as she does. When they got down there, Sarah set up my tripod and camera, along with the self timer. She went to get into frame and realized Jeff was down on one knee! They got the perfect shot and Sarah was completely shocked!

And now they're married and off on their honeymoon! Congrats you two on your wedding and wishing you all the happiest as you start this adventure together with your little pup Sammi in tow!
