Who doesn’t love donuts? Sarah and Sean certainly do and they have a spot in their heart for not only Maine’s famous potato donuts from Holy Donut, but also their donut mural on the side of their Park St. location.
Of course we were game for that. Not only did we get to take fun portraits of the two of them with the donuts in the background, we got treated to the amazing smells of the kitchen wafting out the back door as the bakery closed up for the day.
Spring in Maine can be pretty fleeting but after we left Holy Donut we headed through Deering Oaks Park and stumbled upon some really amazing blooming trees and great light.
We ended their session with a stroll along Portland’s East End Beach before trading taco spot recommendations and heading out for the evening. (Dean and I definitely stopped for tacos on our way home!)
We are looking forward to their fun Portland Maine wedding this fall at another iconic location – Grace! We remember when it was a full restaurant and always felt so fancy going there getting to enjoy whatever unique creations the kitchen created. Grace is now a dedicated event space so every chance we get to get back into that iconic church turned venue is so exciting.
Great. Now I want donuts!
