Samantha and Mario | Island Adventure Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographers

It was a breezy afternoon in early October when Samantha and Mario chose to elope out on Great Diamond Island.

Any island wedding is an adventure but it’s even more fun when you, along with the video team and planner, get picked up by a classic boat and taken across the bay to a private dock on Great Diamond Island.

The house Samantha and Mario chose for their stay is an adorable coastal cottage right on the outer bank of the island. From their front porch you can see the other islands out in Casco Bay and passing boats.

While Samantha got ready upstairs, Mario was downstairs getting on his suit and having their adorable pup supervised.

After their first look just off the porch, we all headed over to a neighboring property with the perfect spot for their ceremony. With ships passing by in the background, Samantha and Mario exchanged their vows. With a little adventure in mind the couple headed down the boat ramp and jumped onto a beautiful vintage boat for a ride around the bay and over to the other side of the island.
