I finally got one of my favorite families in front of my lens. I may be a little biased but these guys are so awesome!
The Matriarch of the C family is my close friend Catie. She’s THE wedding planner behind Destination Maine Weddings and if you follow us on Instagram, you’ll know we work with her a lot. Not only is she a great planner to work with but Catie is also my travel buddy when it comes to weddings in Costa Rica.
We first met at a wedding networking event. It was memorable - I ended up leaving to head to the walk-in only to find out I had pneumonia. So clearly I made an amazing first impression, wheezing and unable to carry on a basic conversation. But after a few more meetings, and lunches at our fave taco restaurant, we became fast friends. Then one winter I ended up booking a last minute wedding in Costa Rica after Dean and I’s season was already done, with all of us hopped on a plane heading home, I texted Catie and asked if she’d be up for heading back with me. I didn’t even tell her the date when she replied with a resounded “YES!”.
This year I finally got Catie and two out of her three daughters and their families in front of my camera. In true fashion we were hit with storm after storm on all of our regularly scheduled days until this fall when we had a very chilly morning at their family home in Kennebunkport. It was so much fun getting to play with the kiddos and pups on the rocks after the family formals were done, but man, they can MOVE, it was a challenge keeping up!
